Dr. Richard Bell, DVM, Owner

Strong-Silent Type, Out-Numbered, Fisherman/Hunter, Empty-Nester, Busy-Body

Dr. Bell, whose special interests include a diagnostic approach to therapy, geriatric pain control, and special interest in dermatological cases, started Bell Veterinary Clinic in 2005. Dr. Bell earned his degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and has served the Metamora, Oxford and surrounding areas for over 17 years. Dr. Bell lives with his wife, Wendy, and their 3 dogs Jenna (Beagle Mix), Trigger (Brittney), and Gracie (Lab). He is a father to 3 daughters, Allie, Sam, and Mickaila. Dr. Bell is also a proud grandfather to Kollin. Something people may not know is that before he became a Veterinarian, he was an airplane mechanic. When he isn’t working, Dr. Bell enjoys boating, driving high performance race cars, traveling and spending time with his family. Dr. Bell a.k.a. the Brains of the Operation!

Wendy Bell, Owner, Practice Manager

Wendy and Dr. Bell were high school sweethearts and are happily married 25 years with 3 daughters. They have twins, Allie and Sam, and daughter Mickaila with grandson Kollin. Wendy is from Michigan Center and has an Associate’s Degree in Health and Human Services and has a Business Network International award. Their 4-legged kids are Jenna (Beagle mix), Trigger (Brittney), and Gracie (Lab). Wendy’s favorite part of working at the practice is working with her family. She loves the interaction with clients and their pets. People may not know that Wendy is a cosmetologist and went to college to be a juvenile delinquent officer. Wendy enjoys shopping, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. Wendy is the glue for the Bell Vet Family!

Dr. Stacii Comstock, Veterinarian

Thorough, Soft-Spoken, Seinfeld Watcher

Dr. Comstock started with Bell Veterinary Clinic in 2016 and earned her degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Comstock also works in a separate facitily in the Emergency Department. She has earned various awards including the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia Award (MSU-2014), the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Foundation Student Surgery Award for Excellence in Small Animal Surgery (MSU-2014), and the MSU CVM Primary Care Award for Excellence & Creativity in Small Animal Patient Care (2014). She lives with her dog, Diesel (Great Dane Mix) and when she isn’t working she enjoys crafting, home improvements, and trivia/game nights.

Chris Schocke, Licensed Veterinary Technician

Chris has been with our practice since 2010. She has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Veterinary Technology from Baker College. Her favorite part of working at Bell Veterinary Clinic is being apart of surgery cases. She enjoys her co-workers and helping clients provide great care to their pets. When she isn’t working, she is spending time with her husband, Al, and daughter, Lorelai. Their family enjoys 2 cats, Kimber (DMH) and Bowie (DSH) along with 2 dogs, Tucker (Hound Mix) and Willow (Lab). When she isn’t working, Chris likes making truffles, collecting precious moments, watching This Is Us, and spending time with her family. Chris is easy-going and works great under pressure!

Allie Bell, Veterinary Assistant

Foodie, Information Addict, Achiever, 1st Twin, Black Cat Enthusiast, Who took my scissors?,

Allie has worked with Bell Veterinary Clinic since 2015. She has a Veterinary Assistant Certificate and is currently working on her Veterinary Technician License through Penn Foster. Allie has awards in the State Veterinary Science Career Development as well as receiving 1st place for a Public Speech on Heartworm in Dogs. Her roommate is a black cat named Rain, (who only likes Allie). Along with working with her dad, Dr. Bell, and her mom, Wendy, and sister, Sam, she loves educating our clients while helping and handling different animals. In her free time, Allie likes reading, hiking, kayaking, and watching Netflix with her mint chocolate chip ice cream.  Allie has a big heart and is very passionate about animals!

Allison Burgett, Veterinary Assistant

Busy Bee, Animal Collector, Can’t Swim, I have too many chickens

Allison joined our team in 2017. She grew up in Lapeer, MI riding and training horses. Her and her husband, Andrew, have a small hobby farm. Allison has 3 dogs: Pearl a black lab, Ruby a mini dachshund, and Opal a yellow lab. She also has a cat named Loca and a quarter horse named Prim. Her favorite part of working at Bell Veterinary Clinic is the opportunity to learn new things, and how fun our clients and her co-workers are to work with. Her “go-to” comfort food is dill pickle chips and chocolate ice cream. Allison has a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh!

Samantha Bell, Veterinary Assistant

Cross-fitter, Cat Obsessed, Grammar Police, 2nd Twin, secretly wants to be an FBI investigator

Sam has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and Healthcare Administration from the University of Michigan and has worked with Bell Veterinary Clinic since 2017.  Before working in Veterinary Medicine, she worked in Lapeer County as an AVA therapist helping Autistic children. As the daughter of Dr. Bell, she has been a part of the veterinary world most of her life. She is engaged to fiancé, Bob, and has a fur baby named Chloe (DLH). She loves working with her family, animals, and making sure our clients have great experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys the wedding planning process, exercising, rock climbing and traveling. Sam is always smiling and happy to help!

Brooke Soroka, Veterinary Assistant

Brooke grew up in Lake Orion, MI and started with Bell Veterinary Clinic in 2018. She has worked in the Veterinary Industry for over 3 years and has a special interest in surgical cases. She has a cat named Cheddar Nova and enjoys spending time outdoors and on the lake. Brooke is a natural leader and loves taking on new tasks to help organize the hospital and better educate our clients.
